Ku Pueai Noi

Ku Pueai Noi or Prasat Puay Noi is a large Khmer santuary located in Khon Kaen province, far off the beaten track. This was our second visit here after we had initially made the trip back in the year 2000 and with old camera equipment (speak - film). Since it is so far off the normal route, we had long planned to come back. It is a beautiful compound with three brick buildings, several chapels and lots of lintels. We were overwhelmed by the amount of detail on the lintels. The site dates back to the 11th to 12th Century A.D. when it was used as a Hindu sanctuary. 

This site is not visited by many people and we almost stepped on a huge snake on our second visit.
